Any True Blood fans??

When my girlfriend and her husband started watching the series, I was really skeptical about the series, especially when she said it was kind of weird. But then my husband wanted to watch it, so we were able to find all 4 (that's right, 4!) seasons and watched the whole series up to date in about 3 weeks! About half way through the first episode, I was thinking, "Really?? We're REALLY going to watch this??", but obviously I got hooked! Anyone else into the series?

yuck, no. Watched one episode with a friend who is really into it, but it was a little sexy and earthy for me.

We watched it at first, but now it's just ridiculous. There are more vampires, shape shifters, fae, and the like than there are humans. It went from being kinda charming and quirky to being way beyond anything we can stomach. We were actually quite disappointed as we really did enjoy it before.

O yeah!! I watch it faithfully. I read the "Sookie Stackhouse" Series, that's why I started watching it. Even though the show went a different direction, I still watch it. And yes, it's "out there", but the story behind all the "weird stuff" is what keeps me coming back.

I'm with Bev - I have read all the books and even though the show is getting "weird" and gory at times I love Sookie! LOL I keep coming back to it too!

Oh, Wanda! That's totally what I thought too (and sexy is putting it mildly), but after the second one, I had a better opinion of it.

I think I'm going to start reading the books, too. The only version of the show that is aired in Canada is an editied version that is 20 mins shorter! So we have to wait until after the whole thing is done! I don't know if I'm gonna be able to handle that!! Oh, and I love how Bill says Sookie! My hubby and I laugh about it!! Suh-keh!!

I love the Sookie Stackhouse books!!! One night a bunch of my girlfriends go together and we watched the first few episodes of True Blood and I just couldn't get into it. The characters were different in my mind and I liked the ones in my mind better! ;) I can't wait until the next SS book comes out!

Kelly that's how I felt about twilight. I love the movies only because I love the books... in all honestly the movies are cheesy. My characters are way hotter in my head too.

Seeing HP mentioned... can anyone tell me the recommended age range? It might be printed on the book near the bar code. I read chapter books to my daughter every night, and my husband asked if we might be tackling that series soon. Neither of us have read them (we were too old for them) but knowing all the good things I've heard I do want to read them to her at some point.
